Today we had a great time with Nicolas' class and the entire Carter Cubs. Lance and I were responsible for hiding easter eggs, taking pictures and having fun. Yes, it was fun, and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
After the hunt, the kids got to play in the park, eat their candy, and enjoy lunch together.
The ending of this special day was just as good as the beginning, when we met our closest friends at CFA to enjoy dinner together. I am afraid Olivia has a bit of fever, but otherwise she feels fantastic. Let's see what is on the horizon.

| Things that made me smile today.... - everything! Every day is like a vacation day at the moment, and that makes it so special. Although my husband and I enjoyed the morning hours to ourselves, our entire day was special. We started off getting a few things done around the house, planning and scheduling each day to make sure we get the most out of it. Then we treated ourselves to a late breakfast - yes a date of sorts. Remember what it was like to be without kids? No, neither do I. It was fun to just sit and relax and have a conversation, without the competition of the kids trying to speak louder then you. No wonder they say it is important for a relationship to go out once a week without kids, and to enjoy a special moment. It really gives you the time to talk, and laugh, and hold hands. Once the kids were home, we went to Target to pick up some Easter goodies, walk through Petsmart to look at all the animals, and then headed over to Baskin Robbins for a special treat. Why is it that the kids always pick the most colorful flavors? That is right, so you can take fun fun pictures.  | |||

Things that made me happy today.....
- the little bit of sun we saw this morning.....
- sleeping in......
- lazying around the house, snuggling, and watching tv in bed.....
- the perfect german dinner Goulasch
Sorry to bore everyone, but I cannot get enough of my family right now. Just wish the weather would contribute a bit more sunny weather, so we could spend more time outside.
The wind is very cold and very strong, so being outside is no fun at the moment. However, we did manage to get a few minutes playing around outside.
Things that made me smile today....
- My UPS package that arrived this morning......shhhhhhh.....it is an early birthday gift
- an email from DH that he will be arriving a day early
- a fantastic book - DEAR JOHN
- bumping into a dear friend this afternoon
- watching Nicolas play with a good friend
- Patterns from Figgy arriving today.
What a day! I am thrilled that DH will be arriving tomorrow. So much so that I have not slept a wink in the last three nights. So last night I made the mistake of starting a book called Dear John. WOW. What a book. I spent three hours reading it until I finished the entire book. It was great. It was lovely. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. I cannot wait to see the movie now. It was such a great love story. Just what I needed to settle my heart for the day.
I had to stay home and wait for an early Birthday gift to arrive. I cannot say what it is yet, but it was nice and kept me busy for the rest of the day. I had hoped to get some sewing done, but I cannot concentrate on anything, so why bother. It felt great to just relax all day, and take some "me" time.
